About this Villa

Casa Huerto is a charming and well appointed 4/5 Bedroom Villa with three bathrroms and a designated space for a swimming pool of up to 10mx6m or larger. It is located in a much sought after valley just one mile from the pretty village of Encebras which has a thriving Spanish and ex-pat community.  There is a water fountain, bar/restaurant, a church, a monastery and a Village Hall where Festivals and events are held throughout the year.  This includes the `Festival of co-existence’ where all the locals gather together to celebrate unity between the different cultures.

The delightful town of Pinoso is just three miles away and features many bars and restaurants as well as sports facilities and entertainment venues.

The villa was constructed from new and there are many photographs documenting the build at every stage of construction.  Additional features were specified by the current owners at various stages of construction to create a comfortable and convenient home for all seasons of the year. 

The present owners  have retained their property in the UK throughout their 10-year stay in Spain and are returning to the UK for health reasons which means that there is an option for this property to include all furniture all the appliances and kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery, bed linen and an extensive array of quality garden furniture and barbecue accessories.  In fact, ready to move into with nothing more required other than an overnight bag!

There are attractive rural views from every aspect.  The terrace is particularly attractive and offers outdoor dining and relaxing opportunities and offers views across the valley and is an excellent vantage point for observing the local wildlife which includes soaring eagles, many more smaller birds.  In particular there is a hoopoe – a spectacular bird native to the area – which nests in one of the ancient olive trees every year.

There is a pre-installed Aircon system that provides hot or cold air to all rooms without obtrusive aircon machines on the walls as well as a wood burning stove (Estufa) in the lounge.
The property also benefits from mains water, mains electric and independent sewage.  Hot water is provided by an electric boiler in the Storeroom.   WiFi and telephone services are installed.

The Garden
The plot is 10,000 metres in size with the villa itself in a compact plot of 2,000 metres enclosed by a secure fence and containing a well stocked and easy-to-maintain garden containing numerous decorative shrubs and roses as well as many fruit trees.  There are several Olive trees – some of which are reputedly hundreds of years old – as well as almond trees.
There is lots of outside space with a wide choice of seating areas both in the sun and in the shade with an outdoor kitchen and barbecue area as well as a giant Chess Board, a petanque pitch and a designated area for a swimming pool.  Various barbecue-related items include plastic plates and dishes for outdoor partying.
An irrigation system has been installed to take care of the plants and shrubs whilst the owners are away or simply as a labour-saving facility.
There is a small courtyard which can be used for car parking or as a secure compound for pets.
A neighbour has enlisted a local farmer to plant their surplus land with wheat crops and expect to receive payment when the crop is harvested.  This presents a revenue opportunity from the future use of the separate 8,000 metre field alongside the property.

There is a wide range of kitchen cupboards with granite working surfaces.  Appliances include washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, microwave and worktop items such as a halogen cooker, food processor and coffee machine.
The drawers and cupboards contain a full range of cutlery and crockery with sufficient for everyday use as well as entertaining guests.  There are also teapots, milk jugs, hot water jugs and cafetieres.

The Lounge

Dining Area
This contains a formal oak dining table and 6 sturdy chairs and an oak dresser and a capacious sideboard.  The table itself can be folded away so that the whole area can be arranged for formal dining, partying or just relaxing.

Bedroom 1 – the Master Bedroom
Furnished in Louis XIV style with 2 fitted wardrobes, dressing table and bed with bedside tables, lamps and an en-suite bathroom with washbasin, bathroom cabinet, toilet, bidet and a walk-in shower. There is also an electric towel rail.

Bedroom 2
Furnished with traditional Oak furniture with a wardrobe, dressing table, tallboy and wrought iron double bed with bedside tables and lamps.  There is an en-suite bathroom with toilet, washbasin, bath with shower and an illuminated bathroom cabinet over the washbasin and an electric towel rail.

Bedroom 3
A double bedroom currently set up as a twin with twin beds – one of which folds away under the other to create a more spacious single room if required or could be replaced by a double bed (matrimonio).   There are two chests of drawers in this room as well as a small wardrobe and a bedside shelving unit..

Casita Bedrooms 4/5
There is a Casita with direct access from outside or via the Villa kitchen. It consists of a stylish Bedroom, En-Suite Bathroom and an entrance hall that could easily be converted to a small kitchen or even used as a fifth bedroom.

This could be let as an independent apartment or used by the owners whilst letting out the rest of the villa for B&B or self-catering accommodation. 

The property has been lovingly cared for during the 20-year residency of the current occupants who have only been in residence for approximately half of each year.  The property has never been let out and there has been no damage by animals or children – or even boisterous guests!
