We are so lucky in Pinoso to be surrounded by natural parks that everyone can enjoy.

One such park is located on the northern slope of the Sierra del Reclot at the junction of two ravines, Quitranera and Tres Fuentes.

This natural area of biological and geological interest offers excellent possibilities to be in contact with nature through environmental education and hiking.

The woodlands consist mainly of pines, oak, blackthorn and juniper along with scrubland of wild rosemary and thyme and within this area is located a forestry building or classroom Aula de la Naturaleza.

It is the base for the coordination of environmental volunteers that carry out surveillance and prevention of forest fires along with activities for the conservation and protection of flora and fauna. There is also an information and exhibition point for those interested in getting to know the area through short trails of botanical interest.

There is a support shelter for environmental and educational activities, a picnic area and parking. It is equipped with toilets, showers, drinking fountains, sinks and tables with benches. So, you can spend the whole day here and bring a picnic lunch to enjoy.

Environmental Protection

There is a special protection area within the park which has been developed by Pinoso for the conservation and protection of amphibians and their habitat. There is a series of interconnected waterways in which a variety of toads and frogs can be spotted. There are warning signs to vehicles to take care not to run over the amphibians!

It is possible to camp either as an individual or in a small group in the area from 19th March until 8th December with permission from the Environment Agency in Pinoso.
