The epic fantasy series Juego de Tronos (Game of Thrones) will return to Spain to shoot scenes of its seventh season during the month of March, according to sources close to HBO’s programming president Casey Bloys.

The Local Government Board of the Jumillano consistory has approved the request made by the producer of the series “Game of Thrones” (Game of Thrones), for the filming of some scenes in a place of the wide municipal term of Jumilla, Which has an area of ​​972 square kilometers and an Original Denomination of Wine, known in the United States.

The City of Jumilla has authorized the cutting of several rural roads, where they are scheduled to record some of these scenes of the film, once the production company has applied for the relevant permits to the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
Municipal sources have indicated that the filming of the film in Jumilla will last for a week and will soon confirm the shooting date, which is expected to be, throughout the month of March 2017.
It is not the first time that the popular television series chooses Spain as a location to shoot, since, in previous seasons, moved its equipment to places like Osuna (Seville), Cordova, Seville, Almería, Peñíscola (Castellón) or Bardenas Reales (Navarre). In the fifth season of the series, for example, scenes were recorded in the Reales Alcázares of Seville.

The new chapters of the series inspired in the novels of George R.R. Martin began recording this summer and its release is scheduled for the same period of 2017.
