About this Villa
The house, prismatic, occupies a plot of six thousand square meters, of which three thousand are living space, and enjoys an interior height of five meters so that it facilitates the permanent and rotating exhibition of pieces and works of art.
The work done by landscape architect José Luís Romeu is very successful for integrating the outside crop within the plot itself, leaving the gray perimeter concrete fence in the background. The facade was covered with gray flamed stone called Bierzo.
The project echoes a functional program where family life develops parallel to the artistic world of work of its owner. Therefore, the interior designer proposed to create two distinct areas: on the one hand, part of the construction is used for a workshop, study and guest room and, on the other, for family rooms that include 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a large kitchen /living room.
The connection between the two areas is made through a porch lobby covered with colored lattices. Through the wide glazed openings at the ends the landscape is integrated as part of the two facades: main and rear.
The motorized doors allow to open or close this multipurpose space: entrance, waiting room for clients, living area, outdoor dining room ... becoming the main core of the intervention.
The basement of the house, of four hundred square meters, is connected by stairs to the studio, which has a great height and is intended for a workshop and warehouse. This ample space could be converted into a garage for a car collector, an indoor pool, more bedrooms or even a cinema ... the possibilities are endless.
At the bottom of the basement there is a large patio open to the outside, in the English courtyard style, which allows light to enter.
The property benefits from mains water and electric, underfloor heating, solar lights outside the house, high quality materials throughout the house, spectacular views of the surrounding fields and mountains, air conditioning, an electric gate and is only 5-10 minutes drive from the large and prosperous town of Yecla.
