About this Farm House

Two detached houses and stables. This traditional, detached stone farmhouse with a separate accommodation and stables is set in around 11000m2 of land.

The property has been used for equestrian holidays and is perfectly set up for this. It is located in one of the most beautiful valleys in this inland region, with pine clad mountains and vineyards and close to the Sierra del Carche national park. 
The land has 2 large, fenced paddocks located on either side of the main house. This traditional stone built farmhouse is around 300m2 and has been lovingly restored to retain many original features and is complete with a new roof. A porch leads into the ground floor with stunning Valencian style beamed ceilings, there are 2 double bedrooms with the original floor tiles, a lounge with inglenook fireplace and the original bread oven, a traditional Spanish stlye kitchen with laundry room off and a huge bathroom with walk in shower an roll top bath. 
Upstairs is a huge open plan living, dining, kitchen with patio doors to a terrace where you have 360 degree views across the land. There is a large bedroom which could be easily divided into two if required and an enormous bathroom. The addition of an external staircase to the terrace would create an upstairs apartment with it's own access. Attached to the main house is the old donkey stables which have been beautifully converted into a 1 bed self contained apartment with en suite shower room.

There is a further dwelling which has been created from the old bodega/winery. This house is around 160m2 and is packed with character features. A porch leads into the property which has 2 enormous bedrooms, both of which are en suite. In bedroom 1 the shower has been created from the wine vat and in bedroom 2 the wine pit has been utilized to creat a mezzanine area for the bed with a sitting are below. There is a large kitchen where the old double bodega doors are still in position and a separate living room again with a mezzanine floor and log burning stove. 

There is an internal courtyard which links the main farmhouse to the bodega and also to the stable block. There are 7 stables at present, 2 of these are for foaling and all have there own automatic water supply. There is a mounting area in the courtyard and a smaller donkey room. A large gate leads out to a further enclosed paddock. 

The property also has a large swimming pool terrace complete with a 10m x 5m pool where you can relax after a long days trekking. 

The area is part of Jumilla climb and so the property would be useful accommodation for climbers and walkers. It is also popular with cyclists and bird watchers alike.
